My career in design began in the luxury wedding industry in 1985, where I had the privilege of planning and designing elegant events at Southern California's renowned Ritz-Carlton resorts. Collaborating with couples to bring their dream weddings to life taught me that exceptional design is about more than beautiful details—it's about creating environments that reflect each client's personality, lifestyle, and vision.

As many of my wedding clients began purchasing homes and starting families, they asked if I could help them create interiors that captured the same warmth, elegance, and thoughtful design we had incorporated into their weddings. Those relationships naturally led me into the world of interior design.

In 2010, I took the next step in my career by becoming the owner of a Decorating Den Interiors franchise. During my years with the company, I gained extensive experience designing homes of every style while refining my skills in space planning, furnishings, color selection, window treatments, and creating cohesive interiors tailored to each client's lifestyle.

Today, Susan Sutherlin Interiors is proudly based in The Villages, Florida, serving homeowners throughout Central Florida and the surrounding communities. I specialize in helping adults ages 55 and better create homes that are beautiful, comfortable, and designed to support the way they want to live today—and for years to come.
